AGEING LEADERS AT THE CAREER CROSSROADS

Ageing and leadership has been widely discussed in the view of normative management research. This study addresses a subjective and retrospetive view in ageing and leadership. It identifies how senior managers make sense of their career choices, critical incidents ageing process. Study covers eight managers in diverse organisational contexts, which have reached the age of fifty-five years.

The study uses the experiences of the case study to answer how it is possible to span the structural holes in cross-disciplined multi-actor innovation. According to the experiences, the brokerage function is essential in exploiting the different kinds of distances.
